In the Summer of 2013 I was commissioned to do a painting for a family member’s home. Something different from what I normally do, but that would complement their decor. For a while I had REALLY been wanting to venture into some ABSTRACT artwork… this was my chance.
What followed was a lot of experimentation with styles, materials, and themes. It was a lot of fun figuring out a new style for this new series. Below is the final piece.
“The crimson highways of a complex network; delivering life and branching through the outermost regions.”
The piece was a tryptich called “Artēria”. Acrylic on illustration board.
This was the last abstract piece that I did… but I might be getting that painting bug again…
