happy tuesday everyone!
real quick;
here’s my first update!
just this past weekend i was privileged to be among a small group of artists holding a life drawing workshop at Otis college of art and design (my alma mater).
it’s been quite some time since having sat in a class and drawn a model (far too long).
below is my final drawing (1 hour) from this workshop, feel free to leave any constructive criticism or feedback!

also, if you’re interested in checking out one of our workshops (there will be many, not only figure drawing, but other disciplines as well) check out the sites for the group online. it’s called Derekstar (i’m the assistant director):
or check here to see pictures from that night’s workshop!
hope this finds you well,
blessings,

This is Bertran. Your sketch and lighting technique is awesome. I love how the white mixes with the red chalk.
thanks man! i like it too!
i kind of just threw a bunch of supplies in bag with me for the drawing day…
glad i brought those supplies with me!
Love it
this looks great! it’s giving me the itch to draw!!!
i know huh!
it’s an itch that can only be scratched by drawing and creating…
well, that and more cow bell.
Love it! And love to have seen in come to life in person.
